Millet x Element: Escape the Concrete Jungle, the new chapter of the collaboration

From the boulders in the forest of Fontainebleau to the streets of Los Angeles, the energy of a session remains the same: spontaneous, joyful, and collective. Out in the open, together, you look for the right moment and try to push past your own limits—whether you’re on a rock face or a skateboard.

It is in this spirit that Millet and Element present the second chapter of their first collaboration—a project that brings into dialogue two worlds that only appear to be distant.

High altitude and asphalt meet at a point of balance between performance and workwear. Millet brings its alpine heritage, technical know-how, and experience in designing products for the mountains. Element contributes its own creative language—one that is free-spirited and deeply rooted in skate culture.

Escape the Concrete Jungle

“Escape the Concrete Jungle” is the message behind this collaboration: an invitation to rediscover what truly matters, by stepping away—if only for a moment—from the urban jungle, the noise, and the frantic pace of everyday life.

Millet and Element invite you to reconnect with adventure and the great outdoors. To celebrate this project, the two brands bring their athletes together for an experience that bridges the worlds of skateboarding and climbing—fostering an authentic encounter between communities united by the same desire to explore.

The collection: workwear and technical products

For this second chapter, Millet and Element join forces once again, combining technical expertise, high-performance materials, and a creative approach inspired by skate culture.

Millet contributes its alpine expertise and benchmark materials—such as GORE-TEX®, PrimaLoft®, and Polartec®—designed to withstand cold, wind, and challenging environmental conditions. Element reinterprets these elements through its own unique lens, featuring looser, shorter fits, reimagined volumes, and fresh, colorful, and spontaneous graphics.

The result is a blend that combines technicality and creativity, verticality and urban asphalt, performance and style. Workwear inspiration manifests in layered pieces, reversible garments, and durable materials, all set against a color palette that ranges from truffle and shadow blue to delicate pastel tones.

Key pieces include the Puff Down Jkt—featuring 80/20 recycled down insulation with a 650 fill power—the Alpha Reversible, and the Shell GTX® Jkt, which is also designed for those who view “gorpcore” as an aesthetic language as much as a functional one.

The collection is rounded out by the Friction—an approach shoe reimagined for everyday use—and the Chamonix backpack, which draws on Millet’s mountaineering heritage.

85% of the collection is crafted from responsible materials. Each garment serves a specific purpose, with no superfluous elements. It is a vision that brings climbers and skateboarders together, demonstrating that these two worlds share more values than might initially appear.

Millet for Element

Climbing and skateboarding: two closely related worlds

At first glance, climbers and skateboarders seem to belong to parallel universes: the former move across granite walls, while the latter turn asphalt into their own playground. Yet, these two cultures converge through a shared sensibility—one defined by boldness, creativity, and freedom of movement.

Both also share a certain inclination to challenge the rules, experimenting with new possibilities and seeking alternative paths. The pleasure is the same: being outdoors, sharing an experience, envisioning a line, and trying it over and over again until one finds one’s own way of interpreting it.

“Where most people see only a rock, we see an opportunity”—this perspective captures the mindset of climbers well, but it could just as easily apply to a skateboarder. For both, what matters is looking at a space with fresh eyes and discovering possibilities where others see only obstacles.
