The new F738 COOL BAG is the world’s first cooler bag made from upcycling used truck tarps. Its square silhouette and functional design make it perfect for days out, bike rides, and summer outings. The interior, featuring food-grade insulation, keeps food and drinks cool and helps maintain the cold chain, even during longer trips from the supermarket to home.
Recycled plastic, it’s fantastic
The distinctive handles, available in ever-changing color combinations, make every F738 COOL BAG unique. The material used is made from recycled plastic waste, including food packaging, discarded hospital textiles, laboratory supplies, and disposable protective masks. To create these robust components, FREITAG collaborated with the founder of Precious Plastic Zurich, an expert in plastic recycling, who produced each handle in her Zurich laboratory. The result is complemented by an ergonomic shape developed in collaboration with a local engineering firm, designed to offer a comfortable and practical grip while carrying.
Upcycling and pure coolness
Recycled plastic is just one part of the F738 COOL BAG‘s sustainable project. Each bag is made from used truck tarps, selected exclusively in silver, and features a shoulder strap made from recycled seat belts.
