Some pieces enter the archives not only for their history, but for their ability to express a style of dress. This is the case with the model that inspired ROCKET, an archive vest worn by Steve McQueen and long part of Alessandro Squarzi’s personal collection. A perfect reference for Fortela, where functionality, character, and authenticity coexist in every piece.

Far from excess, the original model expresses a precise idea of clothing: few elements, a well-defined function, and a construction designed to last. It is precisely this approach, typical of workwear and military garments that have survived the ages to become cult objects, that guides Alessandro Squarzi’s research and the philosophy of Fortela.

With ROCKET, that aesthetic heritage is translated into a contemporary and easily interpretable garment. The lightweight nylon and clean lines make it a vest suitable for a variety of situations and all year round: worn over a T-shirt in spring and autumn, paired with a shirt, or used as a midlayer under a jacket when temperatures drop.

DESCRIPTION
VEST1 is a duck down padded vest with a nylon fabric exterior in a regular fit, characterized by the central TALON brass zip. On the back, the stitching with orange thread immediately recalls the aesthetic language of Fortela and underlines its identity. It is a detail that tells of a precise production philosophy: creating garments designed to accompany the wearer over time, acquiring character and personality with use.
