Six SCARPA athletes reached the final of the continental bouldering event, finishing the competition with four medals overall in both the women’s and men’s events.

From July 17 to 19, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, famous venue for the Formula 1 Grand Prix, hosted the 2026 World Climbing Europe Championship. This year’s edition awarded the European titles exclusively in the Bouldering discipline, while the Lead and Speed finals are scheduled in Laval, France, from August 28 to 30.
The SCARPA team confirmed its leading role in the international sport climbing scene, leading six athletes to the final and winning four medals overall. Oriane Bertone particularly stood out, winning the European title in the women’s competition. Camilla Moroni also made the podium with bronze, while in the men’s competition, Hannes Van Duysen took silver and Samuel Richard rounded out the medal tally with bronze.

Women’s competition
Oriane Bertone (FRA) – 1st place
Oriane Bertone wins the European Bouldering Champion title with a performance of 84.3 points. For the Frenchwoman, already a two-time world runner-up, this represents a significant step forward after winning bronze at the 2022 European Championships.
Camilla Moroni (ITA) – 3rd place
Italian Camilla Moroni climbed to the third step of the podium thanks to a solid performance that earned her the bronze medal with 59.1 points.
Jennifer Eucharia Buckley (SLO) – 6st place
Jennifer Eucharia Buckley reached the final and finished the competition in sixth place, confirming her worth at the highest international levels.
Geila Macià Martín (ESP) – 8th place
In front of her home crowd, Geila Macià Martín reached the final and finished the European Championships in eighth place.

Men’s competition
Hannes Van Duysen (BEL) – 2nd place
Hannes Van Duysen won the silver medal, finishing behind Britain’s Maximilian Milne, who won the race with 74.8 points.
Samuel Richard (FRA) – 3rd place
Samuel Richard completed the men’s podium by taking the bronze medal, confirming his excellent form and consistent results throughout the season.
