In the beating heart of the Dolomites, among the peaks of Val di Fiemme, La Sportiva continues to write the future of mountaineering and climbing. The Trentino company, a global point of reference for technical mountain footwear and clothing, proudly announces the entry of Caroline Ciavaldini and James Pearson into the La Sportiva total look team. A strategic choice to strengthen the bond with athletes
Climbing is booming. Passion is growing globally, events are multiplying and media attention is becoming more and more concrete. To respond to this rapidly evolving scenario, La Sportiva is investing in strengthening its Sport Marketing department, focusing on two figures with an international profile, great experience in the field and an authentic vision of the sport.
Starting in 2025, Caroline and James will assume the operational coordination of the Climbing Pro Team, reporting directly to the company’s Sport Marketing & Event Manager. In addition to contributing to the management and development of the athlete team, they will be protagonists in strengthening the activities related to the La Sportiva community, bringing with them a valuable wealth of relationships, strategic vision and passion for climbing.
Towards a new generation of climbing
“We are honored that La Sportiva has thought of us for this new position,” said James Pearson. “We are excited about what this choice represents: it is an important step towards the future of all the brand’s athletes and a strong message to the entire world of climbing. In a constantly changing context, this is a concrete opportunity to contribute to the professionalization of the vertical environment. We will work closely with legends such as Adam Ondra and Jakob Schubert, and at the same time we will support young talents, the champions of tomorrow.”
A step forward in the La Sportiva philosophy
Fabio Parisi, Sport Marketing Manager of La Sportiva, also underlines the importance of this new course:
“La Sportiva was born and grew thanks to the close bond with the athletes, and today we continue on this path with even more conviction. The entry of Caroline and James represents a natural evolution: it means having a team in close contact, shoulder to shoulder – whether on the cliff or in the mountains – with some of the best climbers in the world. Their contribution will be fundamental to fully understand the needs of the athletes and best support them in their growth, both personal and professional.”
With this new alliance, La Sportiva not only consolidates its position in the world climbing scene, but also renews its commitment to supporting mountain sports in all their forms, investing in the people and values that make climbing a unique discipline.
