Salomon raises the bar once again in the alpine ski boot segment with the launch of the S/PRO ALPHA C BOA®, a model that redefines the concept of performance for expert skiers seeking the ultimate in precision, control and fit.

Presented in Milan on January 30, 2026, the S/PRO ALPHA C BOA® represents a radical reinterpretation of the 98 mm performance boot, based on EXODRIVE, Salomon‘s latest and most advanced construction innovation. This technology rethinks the way the boot interacts with the ski, significantly improving power transmission and ride quality.

Designed for advanced skiers who know exactly what they want from their gear, the S/PRO ALPHA C BOA® combines a completely redesigned shell design, next-generation power transmission, and a bootfitter-validated fit, delivering uncompromising performance without sacrificing a natural, reliable skiing feel.

A new era for the 98 mm performance segment

Since 2022, Salomon boot development has been based on one key principle: stably locking the heel and ankle into the rear of the shell, ensuring superior power transmission, regardless of the boot concept.

With EXODRIVE, this philosophy is taken to the next level. The new construction creates a more dynamic and responsive connection between skier, boot, and ski, allowing the boot to work as a single, integrated system. The result is greater heel stability, a more immediate response, and significantly improved steering precision, noticeable from the first turns.

This is not a simple evolution, but a redefinition of the concept of a performance boot.

Co-developed with Blue Circle: innovation comes from bootfitting

To ensure that innovation was supported by real field expertise, Salomon developed the S/PRO ALPHA C BOA® in collaboration with Blue Circle, the most authoritative international bootfitting community globally.

The bootfitters’ input guided every phase of the project: from the shell architecture to the construction of the liner, from stance and flex behavior to the adjustment levels required both in the “out of the box” configuration and in the customization processes. The result is a profoundly innovative boot, yet fully validated by those who make fit a true artisan skill.

As Salomon’s Product Officer – R&D Ski Boots explains:
We received clear feedback from skiers and athletes: the S/PRO was powerful and well-fitting, but they were looking for superior control in terms of grip. Not more pressure, but more precision. From here, the idea of completely rethinking the performance boot was born. EXODRIVE is the result of this journey: a construction capable of taking ski control to an unprecedented level, developed in close collaboration with Blue Circle.

Technology, comfort and perceived value

Alongside EXODRIVE, S/PRO ALPHA C BOA® integrates a series of solutions that further enhance performance and overall quality:

  • Powerlink, for even more effective lateral transmission and greater stability when driving;
  • Easy entry, thanks to a completely redesigned hull opening, among the simplest in the performance category, even at low temperatures;
  • New internal shoe, designed to ensure precision on the heel and ankle without sacrificing comfort throughout the day;
  • Premium materials and finishes, which strengthen the boot’s technical identity and enhance its aesthetics.

The BOA® Fit System, positioned on the cuff, allows for quick and precise micro-adjustments, offering an additional level of control and allowing the skier to adapt the fit from the first meters on the snow.

The future of ski boots according to Salomon

The S/PRO ALPHA C BOA® features three key benefits designed for expert skiers:

  • Unparalleled power transmission and handling, thanks to the EXODRIVE construction;
  • Maximum heel hold and ankle stability for extremely precise ski control;
  • Advanced fit and comfort, thanks to the new liner, easy entry and micro-adjustment of the cuff.

The difference is not only visible, but can be clearly felt on the track, corner after corner.

Top Performance Award at Prowinter 2026

Confirming the project’s value, the S/PRO ALPHA C BOA® received the Prowinter Retail Award 2026 in the Alpine Ski Boots – Top Performance category. The jury recognized the model’s technical innovation, highlighting in particular the effectiveness of the Powerlink system and the targeted integration of the BOA® Fit System, elements that make this boot a new benchmark in the performance segment.

The Salomon S/PRO ALPHA C BOA®, part of the Fall/Winter 26/27 collection, is already available in specialist shops and online at salomon.com.
