Immediate comfort and an intuitive fit: HyperEZ embodies La Sportiva’s “Comfort Revolution,” guiding beginners as they take their first steps in climbing.

Rounding out the indoor experience is the TX1, an approach shoe that combines comfort, stability, and precision.

La Sportiva is expanding its climbing collection with the HyperEZ, a new climbing shoe designed for those new to the sport and to support the progress of beginner climbers.

This model embodies the “Comfort Revolution” from the Trentino-based brand—a philosophy that prioritizes ergonomics and foot well-being to make indoor climbing more accessible. Developed through an analysis of the common challenges faced by beginners, the HyperEZ combines La Sportiva’s technical expertise with a fit that is comfortable from the very first wear. The goal is to lower physical barriers—such as the fear of foot pain—and ease the hesitation often felt by those approaching a climbing wall for the first time. By providing targeted support and immediate comfort, the shoe fosters greater confidence in one’s movements, guiding climbers through a gradual learning process as they progress toward the more technical options in the brand’s range.

HyperEZ: comfort, grip, and durable materials

The padded collar provides comfortable cushioning while moving about or transitioning between routes, while the rubber heel patch enhances stability and grip during heel hooks. Patented SenseGrip™ technology, combined with a soft EVA midsole that compresses under pressure, helps increase both cushioning and mechanical grip on footholds, facilitating more natural and secure movement.

The features include a breathable and washable synthetic upper, 100% vegan materials, and a non-marking FriXion® White sole, which is particularly well-suited for indoor use. Furthermore, the option to resole the shoe using original La Sportiva replacement parts helps extend its lifespan.

TX1: the approach shoe for indoor climbing

Rounding out the gym-focused lineup is the TX1, a new approach shoe designed for moving around indoors, warming up, and the intervals between climbs. The design combines freedom of movement, stability, and a precise fit, supporting climbers as they transition from walking to the climbing walls.

The low-profile design with a flat rocker enhances sensitivity and grip on gym surfaces, while the easy-fit design—featuring a generous volume—ensures comfort even during extended use.

The High Tenacity Mesh upper, crafted from recycled yarns and reinforced with TPU, combines breathability with abrasion resistance. The lacing system—inspired by climbing shoes—allows for a precise fit and enhanced control. The asymmetrical construction of the upper, along with a protective TPU toe cap and a molded heel, provides added support and protection on technical terrain, without compromising comfort during long excursions.

The technical features include a Vibram® MegaGrip™ outsole with a dedicated “Climbing Zone” for precision on rock faces, and a compression-molded EVA midsole designed to balance cushioning and support. The construction is completed by the patented Resole Platform™, which allows for resoling using official La Sportiva replacement parts, helping to extend the lifespan of the footwear.
