Q36.5, a leader in technical cycling apparel, introduces the new Unique Pro road shoes. Designed to offer maximum control, they combine cutting-edge Italian manufacturing technologies with a structure that maximizes stability, power, and comfort.
Weighing just 225g (size 42) and with a minimal stack height of 4.4mm, the new Q36.5 Unique Pro is light, breathable and comfortable, representing the pinnacle of lightweight performance on the market.
The shoes are already in use among the athletes of the Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team. During the final stage of this year’s AlUla Tour, Matteo Moschetti recorded a top speed of 83.3 km/h during the final sprint, one of the fastest ever documented. This result was also made possible by the biomechanical optimization and high efficiency in power transmission offered by the Q36.5 shoes, designed to maximize performance in every phase of the pedal stroke.
Q36.5 Unique Pro, superior technology and performance
As with all Q36.5 Unique products, the design of the shoes is deliberately essential, with a particular focus on the construction process, completely exclusive on the market.
The handcrafted carbon fiber sole is less than 2.2 mm thick. It is made in Montebelluna, in the province of Treviso, and integrates a patent-pending construction technology. Designed with a minimum stack of 4.4 mm, it offers improved torsional stiffness, ensuring a superior sensation of stability and control while pedaling. The molded heel helps reduce lateral flexibility of the sole, further improving support and stability during movement phases.
The wide metatarsal area of the shoes ensures optimal comfort for different foot shapes. Compared to the previous version, the sole has been widened by 1 cm in the metatarsal area, ensuring greater freedom of movement and, at the same time, a more comfortable fit. Torsional stiffness is further improved by the Q36.5’s Power Wrap system, a thermoplastic panel that supports the arch, reducing the risk of injury.
The upper is made of 1mm microfiber, without TPU reinforcements, and, in place of the traditional tongue, features a proprietary mesh spacer fabric insert. This innovative material is composed of two layers, separated by a structure that promotes ventilation, optimizes breathability, reduces humidity and improves fit, relieving pressure on specific areas of the foot.
Padded EVA inserts under the aluminum BOA dials prevent excessive pressure concentrated on a single point of the foot, for an even more comfortable fit.
