Peak Performance Introduces the New Freelight Polartec® Alpha™ Hood
For the Spring/Summer 2026 collection, the Swedish brand expands the Freelight family with a new product destined to redefine the concept of thermal insulation for the outdoors: the Freelight Polartec® Alpha™ Hood.
Made from Polartec® Alpha™ knit fabric, this ultralight hooded jacket, weighing just 200 grams, offers excellent thermoregulation, quick drying, and high breathability. Its intelligent construction allows it to retain heat when needed and promote heat release during the most intense phases of physical activity.
These features make it the ideal companion for numerous alpine activities characterised by variable paces, from trail running to alpine skiing.

Polartec® Alpha™ technology for intelligent thermoregulation
Freelight Polartec® Alpha™ Hood is an insulated hooded sweater designed for a variety of outdoor activities. Its goal is to ensure optimal body heat management, promote moisture wicking, and ensure extremely quick drying times.
The garment is made of POLARTEC® ALPHA™, a fabric that uses a special structure composed of high-loft fibers and a mesh core. This technology allows it to retain heat when temperatures drop or increase air circulation during periods of increased activity.
The hydrophobic properties of the material also help to repel moisture and maintain high insulating capacity even in particularly humid environments.
Comfort, lightness and freedom of movement
The raglan sleeves are designed to offer maximum freedom of movement during any activity. Flat seams reduce the risk of chafing, improving comfort even during prolonged use.
