The essence of Classic: trekking and nature without filters

More than just a trek, the Fjällräven Classic is an immersive experience that embodies the Swedish brand’s mission: to connect people with nature, teaching them to respect and preserve it. Each participant tackles the route with everything they need on their back, walking at their own pace and discovering the value of outdoor self-sufficiency. At the same time, the organization ensures essential infrastructure and support points along the way, making the experience accessible to trekkers of all levels.

A community spirit that has lasted for decades

The event has deep roots: born in 1979 as “Fjällräven Weeks” by the will of the founder Åke Nordin, it had the aim of making trekking accessible also to those who did not feel ready to set off alone. In 2005, the event was relaunched in its current guise, without ever losing its original spirit. Today, the Fjällräven Classic has become an iconic event for outdoor enthusiasts, with editions that attract every year both loyal veterans and new explorers looking for their first adventure in the wild.

Taking part in the Fjällräven Classic: Here’s how

As of today, only tickets for the Classic Chile remain available, all other events have sold out.

A journey to learn how to experience nature

In addition to being an unforgettable adventure, the Fjällräven Classic is also an opportunity for personal growth. As Carl Hård af Segerstad, Global Events Manager at Fjällräven, points out: “Understanding how to behave in nature is the key to being able to take care of it in the best way. And that’s what makes the Fjällräven Classic special.

Each participant receives a pre-trek guide with practical advice, but the ultimate goal is to learn on the job, developing skills useful for future adventures. Being self-sufficient, respecting the environment and enjoying the freedom of nature: this is what makes the Fjällräven Classic much more than a trek. It is an experience that stays with you, step by step.
