For the 2026-27 autumn-winter season, SCARPA is refreshing its freeride lineup by introducing a new look for the 4-QUATTRO PRO and unveiling the 4-QUATTRO PRO LE—a limited edition developed in collaboration with Norwegian freerider and filmmaker Nikolai Schirmer, renowned for his descents down steep slopes and technically demanding terrain. Designed for expert skiers who enjoy earning their turns on the ascent without compromising on precision during the descent, both models combine lightness, freedom of movement, and support, making them equally well-suited for days spent at the resort or for backcountry touring with climbing skins.

The construction in Pebax® Rnew® with Carbon Core technology ensures direct power transmission from the foot to the ski, while the Secure Speedlock 4 mechanism allows for a quick transition between walk and ski modes. While sharing a common technical platform, the two versions feature different cuff closure systems: the Booster® Active Power Strap for the PRO model, and the SCARPA Vario Strap for the PRO LE model.
Pebax® Rnew® and Carbon Core: lightness and control
The shell and cuff, crafted from Pebax® Rnew®, offer an excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio, helping to keep the boot’s overall weight low during the ascent while ensuring responsiveness on the descent. Carbon Core technology enhances structural rigidity, providing greater precision and control—even when the terrain becomes more technical and demanding.
On the PRO model, the reinforced overlap cuff—featuring increased height and thickness—helps provide the torsional rigidity required to handle wide skis on the most demanding slopes. Both models offer a 130+ flex and an adjustable 19° forward lean, providing the necessary support for active skiing.
The Secure Speedlock 4 ski/walk mechanism incorporates a dual locking system that keeps the cuff firmly in the “ski” position during the descent. Once unlocked, it allows the cuff to move freely, facilitating ascents and travel on foot.
Booster® and SCARPA Vario Strap: two configurations for freeriding
The 4-QUATTRO PRO combines a four-buckle closure system with the Booster® Active Power Strap, which provides additional cuff support and facilitates efficient power transmission while skiing.
The 4-QUATTRO PRO LE, meanwhile, introduces the new, patented SCARPA Vario Strap, designed to adapt dynamically to the skier’s movements. It is a solution engineered to enhance power transmission, responsiveness, and comfort, even in the most demanding conditions.
Born from a collaboration with Norwegian freerider and filmmaker Nikolai Schirmer, this Limited Edition embodies the pursuit of one’s own line through a specialized configuration and a distinctive aesthetic. The Silver Gray colorway is paired with a black cuff and red accents on the buckles and strap. The tagline “Unique as your line” encapsulates its identity, evoking the spirit of freeriding and the freedom to navigate even the most complex terrain.
Precision, comfort, and versatility from the ascent to the descent
The fully thermoformable Intuition® 4Pro Flex Ride liner allows for a customized fit tailored to the shape of your foot. Combined with a 100 mm last, it helps strike a balance between precision and comfort, even during the longest days on the snow.
The PRESA® SKI-01 / GripWalk Tour sole, which complies with the ISO 23223 standard, ensures traction during approaches and while walking. Compatibility with Alpine GripWalk, Alpine Touring, and TLT bindings rounds out a technical feature set designed to support the skier through the various stages of a day spent freeriding.
Weighing 1,550 g for the PRO and 1,540 g for the PRO LE (per boot, size 27), both models combine lightness with support, while retaining the features necessary to tackle the most demanding descents. Though they offer two different configurations, they share the same purpose: to accompany freeriders as they seek out and interpret unique lines.
