Ultralight, compact, and functional design in the new Spring Summer 2027 collection.
With the Spring/Summer 2027 collection, Sea to Summit continues the “Tested by Australia” concept, developing products designed to ensure high performance even in the most demanding situations. The brand’s goal remains to pay attention to every technical detail, from structural elements to materials used, to improve comfort, functionality, and durability.
“We always take the long way if it means creating better products. No shortcuts, no rush to bring something to market too soon,” explains Tim Miller. “Our work focuses on the less visible details, like fastening systems, fabric laminations, and internal structures. These are the very aspects that make a product truly perform.”

Ultralight Ion 5 Sleeping Mat: LiteGrid Technology Debuts
In the ultralight segment, lightness often means sacrificing comfort, insulation, or durability. The new Ion 5 was created with the goal of maintaining a balance between all these elements.
At the heart of the project is LiteGrid technology, a variable-thickness TPU structure designed to more precisely manage the movement of air inside the mattress, improving stability and comfort during sleep.
Main features
- ThermalCore double reflective layer to optimize heat retention without increasing noise;
- reinforced welded areas to increase strength while reducing weight and bulk;
- Ultralight 20D fabric designed to be compact and quiet.
The brand’s lightest 4-piece sleep system
Among the most interesting new features of the SS27 collection is also a complete ultralight sleep system by Sea to Summit.
The setup combines:
- Ultralight Ion 5 — 325 g
- Spark 7°C/45°F — 366 g
- Pico UL Liner — 72 g
- Aeros UL Pillow — 55 g
The overall weight is just 818 grams, with extremely compact closed dimensions, comparable to those of a 2-litre water bottle.

Ori-Fold Contour: The origami-inspired mattress
The new Ori-Fold Contour takes inspiration from the foldable geometry of origami, applying it to technical materials designed for the outdoors.
The result is a mattress that is 20% more compact than traditional foldable CCF models, but at the same time wider in the torso area to offer greater comfort during rest.
Modular and functional design
The foot section can be quickly removed and transformed into a practical seat pad for use during breaks on the trail.
XLite Camp Kitchen: Compact and Smart Cookware
The new XLite line combines hard-anodized aluminum and heat-resistant food-grade silicone to create lightweight, compact, collapsible cookware designed to optimize backpack space.
The main technical solutions
- Click-Safe handle with secure locking system;
- 5 series aluminum base for more efficient heat distribution;
- LID KEEP technology that allows the lid to be placed sideways, avoiding contact with dirty surfaces.
