Founded in 2004 in Sweden, the POC brand has grown in popularity to this day, becoming a leader in head and body protection and optical aids in the snow and bike sectors.
Always recognizable for their simple yet unique design, POC products have earned the utmost credibility in the field of performance and even more so in that of safety.

POC, safety is the first objective
The evolution of sport is intrinsically linked to the performance of those who practice it, and the growth of the latter proceeds in parallel with the increase in the risk of accidents and injuries.
For this reason, POC has since the very beginning linked its name to safety research, combining it with a holistic and innovative approach. This involves athletes working closely with a research and development team including medical experts specializing in trauma and injuries. Impact simulation equipment, crash tests with test specimens, data analysis, wind tunnel studies, and field trials all contribute to developing products that, based on objective evidence, make users—athletes and amateurs alike—feel safer and able to focus on performance or the enjoyment of the sport.
Northern Europe, a unique approach to design
Tell me where you’re from and…
POC is not an isolated case; the Northern European school of design is recognizable worldwide, from furniture to cars, clothing, and even sportswear. Its design is rooted in Bauhaus minimalism, with clean lines, functional details, and bright colors paired with basic neutrals like black and white.
Going unnoticed without being noticed seems to be the guiding principle of an exploratory approach that doesn’t conform to current trends.
Performance and comfort
Whether the user is an amateur or a professional athlete, the performance of the tool must be achieved through a design that is functional to the body’s morphology, that does not hinder or rather facilitates body movement, that protects without being invasive and that, through the perception of feeling safe, allows the focus to be on performance.

POC Fornix BC
POC’s Fornix BC is the helmet that perfectly embodies the Swedish brand’s philosophy.
Every detail is designed to maximize the feeling with the equipment and amplify the sporting experience being practiced.

Safety, it’s not just in construction
The emphasis could only be placed on this aspect and POC has truly brought together all the most innovative technologies in a single product.
- MIPS
- RECCO
- NFC MEDICAL ID
- ARAMID REINFORCEMENTS

MIPS
Impacts from skiing or snowboarding aren’t necessarily perpendicular to the head; they’re more likely tangential and generate rotational forces. These forces are very damaging to the brain, as it rotates within the skull through the cerebrospinal fluid, accelerating it. With MIPS, the sliding cap between the helmet shell and the liner reduces velocity and angular acceleration, decreasing rotational forces and the risk of brain damage.

RECCO
In the event of an avalanche, time to intervene and excavate the buried victim is crucial to saving them. The RECCO, Reflector, integrated into the helmet, allows rescuers equipped with a locator to quickly locate the buried victim, even if they don’t have an avalanche transceiver (recommended regardless), and proceed with the rescue.
Every second counts in an avalanche rescue. RECCO® technology is a tool that allows professional rescuers to locate buried victims; it allows them to find victims in minutes if equipped with a RECCO reflector.

TWICEME NFC MEDICAL ID
NFC Medical ID di Twiceme is a technology integrated into the helmet. An NFC chip stores the user’s medical information and emergency contact information. In the event of an accident, emergency responders can access this data simply by scanning the device with an NFC-enabled smartphone (if you don’t have the Twiceme app, a data connection is required to view the information on a web page). This will allow for rapid first aid.
ARAMID REINFORCEMENTS
The polycarbonate structure ensures strength and durability with a reduced weight, and is further reinforced with aramid bridges to increase penetration protection. The outer EPS (expanded polystyrene) layer is optimized for impact protection while keeping weight to a minimum.
Comfort, everything contributes to a unique experience
We’ve all experienced it: if a product isn’t comfortable, we’ll end up not using it. This won’t happen with Fornix BC, however, because every detail is designed to offer you the best user experience.
- Size adjustment
- Comfortable padding
- Removable earmuffs
- Ventilation system
- Mask Retention Clip

Size adjustment
The 360° Adjustment System makes it easy to adjust the fit of the shell and find your perfect fit without having to change the padding. The adjustable chin strap refines the fit by locking the helmet in place (but not your breathing).

Comfortable padding
The padding is optimized to ensure maximum comfort, with the right balance between softness and thickness, offering cushioning at contact points.
Removable earmuffs
The padded, flexible earpads can be easily removed for those who prefer to ski with their ears completely free or simply if you want to wash them.

Ventilation system
The ventilation system consists of a series of radial cuts on the shell, whose opening and closing can be easily adjusted with a simple lever. These are complemented by rear cutouts and front ventilation vents, the latter perfectly aligned with the ventilation channels of POC masks to facilitate airflow and prevent fogging.

Mask Retention Clip
The elastic clip fixed to the back of the shell allows you to easily attach the mask elastic and keep it in place in any situation.
