Two splendid autumn days in our Apennines. During this season, the mountains experience significant temperature variations, and simply turning onto a shady side gives way to the sun that was once too hot, giving way to shade and freezing temperatures. This is especially true if we’re engaging in a high-impact aerobic activity like speed hiking, which leaves us feeling hot or sweaty. Salewa‘s Pedroc collection was born precisely from the need to meet the needs of modern alpine trail users, who, even in autumn and winter, frequent medium and high altitudes for speed training or a more leisurely pace.

The seasons are now blurring into one another, mountaineers and their equipment have learned to adapt to the change, and giving up is not an option.
Pedroc PL Wind Hooded Men’s Jacket
It’s an extremely versatile midlayer, perfect for fall and winter conditions. The hybrid construction combines a soft Polarlite fleece fabric made from 95% recycled polyester and 5% elastane with a windproof layer on the front of the torso, shoulders, and hood. The fabric’s internal square structure wicks moisture away from the body, while the top layer in strategic areas prevents the risk of getting cold. It features a practical basket pocket on the abdomen and two zipped handwarmer pockets. Thumb loops secure the cuff, and reflective details ensure visibility during nighttime activities.

Pedroc Dry’ton Wind Man
The magic word here, too, is “hybrid.” Perfect for alpine trails and urban training, this t-shirt is made of Dry’Ton synthetic fabric (59% recycled) with a cotton-like feel that wicks away moisture. The windproof layer on the front and upper sleeves provides the protection you need when the cold wind strikes.

Pedroc 2 Durastretch 2 in 1 Men ‘s Pant
Convertible pants for agile movement on alpine terrain in variable conditions. Lightweight and technical, they are made from wind- and water-repellent Durastretch softshell fabric with a comfortable, breathable lining. To resist splashes and light rain, the fabric is treated with PFC-free DWR. The lower legs are removable via practical YKK zippers. The fit is snug, but the ergonomic design with articulated knees facilitates movement. Reflective details for safe evening activities.

Pedroc 2 Powertex Men’ shoe
It represents the ideal combination of the stability of a hiking shoe and the responsiveness and lightweight feel of a trail running shoe. Able to move nimbly in different environments, such as a medium-altitude trail or a dirt road, the Pedroc 2 Powertex has a thick midsole for maximum cushioning and responsiveness, an upper with the Salewa 3F system, and a midfoot plate for stability on rough terrain. A waterproof and breathable Powertex membrane lets the foot breathe but keeps it dry, essential when the trail is sleet or puddles.
