An opportunity to experience ski mountaineering in all its glory, including guided experiences on various difficulty levels, in-field product testing, and training and discussion opportunities with professionals, companies, and Alpine Guides.
Skimofestival 2026 will be entirely open to the B2C public for three days, with the opportunity to participate in activities, test equipment, and fully enjoy the festival experience.
A project that, since its first edition, has engaged and convinced participants, companies, media, and local partners, thanks to an authentic format deeply rooted in the local area.

WHY PARTICIPATE IN SKIMOFESTIVAL?

The experiences

The heart of Skimofestival is the ski mountaineering experiences, which take place in the extraordinary setting of Santa Caterina Valfurva, in the Stelvio National Park. The trips are led by Alpine Guides, follow marked itineraries, and are divided into beginner, intermediate, and expert levels, with options varying in elevation gain, difficulty, and duration.

Special attention is given to beginners, who can learn ski mountaineering techniques at the Skimo School First Steps. Intermediate skiers can refine their stance and inversions at the Skimo School Progression or participate in dedicated outings. There will also be more challenging adventures in the Valle dei Forni for experienced ski mountaineers.
All activities are available in the online program and can be purchased directly from the official website.

Training and safety

A significant focus will be placed on training, with the introduction of the Safety Academy, offering in-depth training on mountain safety and self-rescue, designed for both beginners and those seeking technical refresher courses.
Practical modules on the use of ARTVA and risk management in snowy environments are also confirmed.

Test area

The Skimofestival test village will be the starting point for the experiences and the center of the event. Here, enthusiasts will be able to field test the latest innovations from leading industry brands, interact with professionals, and receive direct support from participating companies.
Among the new features for 2026 is the opportunity for brands to sell tested products thanks to the Test & Buy initiative.
