Performance, innovation, and lightness: three words that describe the new generation of The North Face’s Summit Series Advanced Mountain Kit. A complete expedition system—24 pieces of clothing, equipment, and footwear—designed to push boundaries, with the speed and efficiency of “fast & light” expeditions.

Designed with meticulous attention to weight, fit, and durability, the new kit represents the brand’s most advanced evolution ever for high-altitude adventures.
Each piece is born from a constant dialogue between material innovators and athletes who test each prototype in the lab, in the field, and on the most extreme expeditions.
“Every piece has been developed to move faster, lighter, and more comfortably, while maintaining the highest standards of protection,” explains Cory Olson, Head of Innovation at The North Face. “This is how we continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible.”

Athlete Tested, Expedition Proven
As per TNF tradition, the Advanced Mountain Kit has been tested by some of the world’s best mountaineers and skiers.
Among them, Benjamin Védrines, speed record holder on K2, and Christina Lustenberger, protagonist of the first ski descent on the south face of Mount Robson, who used the kit during her feat.
A kit also designed for women
For the first time, The North Face offers a women’s-specific Advanced Mountain Kit, designed in collaboration with Christina Lustenberger and Chantel Astorga.
The women’s versions feature tailored designs and dedicated thermal mapping, developed to meet the physiological and thermal needs of athletes in extreme alpine environments.
Warmth, comfort, and freedom of movement thus become structural elements of the design.

Intelligent layering
The new system follows the theory of modular layering, allowing climbers to easily adjust warmth, breathability, and protection based on weather conditions and physical exertion.
Each layer is designed to integrate seamlessly with the others, creating a dynamic balance between insulation, waterproofness, and mobility.
Cutting-edge materials
The heart of innovation is in the materials:
- Spectra®, fibers stronger than steel, integrated into ultralight fabrics for unprecedented durability.
- Cloud Down, high-efficiency insulation that eliminates cold spots and improves compressibility.
- FUTURELIGHT® electrospun, waterproof and breathable PFAS-free membrane, reinforced with Spectra and Nanoreflect for superior thermal control.
- 50/50 insulation with aluminum-titanium coating, which reflects body heat improving thermal efficiency.
- DotKnit Wool, a new generation of base layers that combines the natural qualities of wool with optimal moisture and odor management.
An ecosystem for the extreme
From the ultralight Cloud Down Parka and 50/50 Hoodie to the FUTURELIGHT® shells and DotKnit Wool baselayers, every component of the system is designed to deliver consistent performance even in the harshest conditions on the planet.
The range is completed by expedition accessories and gear such as the Summit Advanced Pack, the 135L Duffel, the Assault 2 tent, and the Superlight sleeping system.
Beyond the limits, once again
With the Advanced Mountain Kit, The North Face writes a new chapter in the history of technical mountaineering: a complete and modular system, the result of years of testing and innovation, designed for those who continue to aim higher.
