Tenerife Windsurf Solution has temporarily suspended TWS Pro Slalom training for winter 2026 due to environmental restrictions.
El Médano, Tenerife – October 2025 – Tenerife Windsurf Solution (TWS), one of the world’s leading windsurfing centers, announces that it will temporarily suspend its TWS Pro Slalom training program for the upcoming winter season (January-March 2026) due to new environmental regulations introduced in the El Médano training area.
The new restrictions prohibit the use of anchored buoys, making it impossible to set up the traditional slalom course used for TWS Pro Slalom training.
The same problem affected the PWA World Cup in El Médano earlier this year, where organizers were forced to rely on GPS signals instead of physical anchors. While these GPS systems offer a potential alternative, they are extremely expensive and require significant technical maintenance and manpower, making them currently uneconomical for TWS activities.
Despite this temporary setback, Tenerife Windsurf Solution will continue to offer high-end slalom rental equipment from world-leading brands and will maintain its scheduled slalom courses with Jordy Vonk (Duotone Windsurfing), Antoine Albeau (Severne Windsurfing), and others, allowing athletes and amateur windsurfers to continue training, test equipment, and develop their skills under the guidance of experts.
