26-28 September the RRD Young Wings at the PIER WATERSPORTS CENTER.
In late September, the beautiful shores of Lake Garda became the stage for the second RRD Young Wings event of the year, three unforgettable days where youthful energy, innate talent, and an unwavering passion for wingfoiling met in perfect harmony. Hosted at the iconic RRD Pier Watersports Center, the event brought together 21 young riders from across Europe, all united by their passion for progression on the water. For RRD, Young Wings isn’t just about competition, but about creating a space where the next generation can thrive, learn, and connect with a community that shares their passion. And Lake Garda lived up to its promise. Throughout all three days, the thermal winds steadily strengthened, providing the conditions every rider dreams of. From the first launch to the last turn of the event, the lake offered the perfect playground for both performance and experimentation. Riders pushed themselves beyond their limits, perfecting new maneuvers, improving their efficiency on the foil and, perhaps most importantly, learning from each other.
While the action in the water was the heart of the event, the knowledge shared on land proved equally valuable. Led by Matteo Guazzoni, the group gathered for technical coaching sessions that combined equipment insights, tactical advice, and encouragement. These beachside conversations were not just about perfecting technique, but also about building confidence, understanding the equipment, and understanding how to best exploit every opportunity the wind offered.
The atmosphere at the camp reflected what RRD Young Wings truly stands for: ambition, curiosity, and the courage to pursue your dreams on the water. Each rider brought their own distinct personality and style, but they were united by a collective determination to grow, progress, and simply enjoy the experience.
For RRD, this project is much more than three days of wing foiling. Young Wings is conceived as a long-term platform that motivates young athletes, provides them with the tools to achieve their goals, and connects them directly with the spirit of the RRD brand. It’s about inspiring the next wave of talent to discover what’s possible, both within the sport and within themselves.
As the sun set on the final day at the Pier Watersports Center, it was clear that this wasn’t just any camp. It was the spark of something much bigger: a new generation ready to make their own history on the water, with RRD by their side.
