The new collection of films dedicated to snow

Throughout February and March, Patagonia is releasing a series of short films that capture the joy of experiencing the snow in motion. From off-piste freeride trails to the pure thrill of a perfect turn, each film explores the human connection to the mountains, nature, and community.

The films are now available online on the brand’s official website and screened at a selection of events in various European cities.

Short films: stories, places and protagonists

Le Moulin des Artistes – directed by Pierre Cadot

Set in a 16th-century mill in the Chamonix valley, Le Moulin des Artistes tells the world of Peter Steltzner and Anati, the creative souls of a unique place: a ski laboratory, an art space, and a meeting place for free spirits.

The film, directed by Pierre Cadot for Yucca Films, traces the link between craftsmanship, community, and Alpine tradition, showing how shared passion can unite people even after a tragedy.

Simple as a Turn – directed by Pierre Cadot

For Nicholas Wolken, the turn is the very essence of snowboarding. The short film follows his quest for the perfect line: a form of personal expression that combines technique, sensitivity, and harmony with the snow.

Between childhood memories, boards designed for carving and descents that almost become an art form, Simple as a Turn is a tribute to the simplicity and beauty of the gesture.

DIG – Extreme Adventure in Alaska

DIG, directed by Nicholas Teichrob, chronicles snowboarder Ryland Bell’s exploits in one of the world’s wildest regions. Born and raised in Alaska, Bell tackles a 3,200-foot ridgeline near Haines after a 4.5-hour climb through 4,000 feet of vertical.

The month-long expedition on an isolated glacier turns into a test of endurance when a storm buries the base camp under 25 feet of snow. Between rationing and hours of digging, the team waits for the window of good weather that will finally allow Bell to attempt the descent.
