iQFOiL INTERNATIONAL GAMES – FINAL DAY WRAP-UP
The Kieler Woche offers a spectacular array of medals ahead of the World Championships in Aarhus.
Kiel, Germany – June 24, 2025 – The third edition of the International iQFOiL Games at Kieler Woche concluded today with a full day of Medal Series racing in spectacular conditions. With winds ranging from 10 to 20 knots, each fleet witnessed intense battles and dramatic finishes, marking a fitting conclusion to a week of great foiling.
The day opened with the Youth and Juniors, whose medal-winning run opened the action on the Kieler Woche stage.
In the U19 men’s category, Henrik Loset Eriksen (NOR 47) had to fight hard to maintain his lead. Erik Leonard Wehkamp (GER 240) raced all the way from the quarterfinals to win the first Grand Final, putting Eriksen under pressure. But the Norwegian remained composed and sealed the overall victory in the second run. “I’m happy to have managed to finish first after a first race in the final where these guys are very fast, so it’s difficult to keep up, but I was very happy to have managed to stay in the lead and take the win,” said Henrik Loset Eriksen.
