The GWA Wingfoil World Cup Abu Dhabi, the final stop of the 2025 FreeFly-Slalom season, took place from 28 October to 1 November.
On the final day, the new FreeFly-Slalom World Champions were crowned in both the men’s and women’s divisions.
In an exciting climax to the 2025 GWA Wingfoil FreeFly-Slalom World Championship, Bastien Escofet (FRA), Alessandro Tomasi (ITA), Julien Rattotti (FRA), and Romain Ghio (FRA) went head-to-head for the men’s world title, while Nia Suardiaz (ESP), Kylie Belloeuvre (FRA), Mar de Arce (ESP), and Viola Lippitsch (AUT) battled it out in the women’s final.
Spain’s Nia Suardiaz secured her third consecutive FreeFly-Slalom world title, while France’s Bastien Escofet celebrated his first-ever world crown at the GWA Wingfoil World Cup Abu Dhabi, held on Fahid Island from 28 October to 2 November 2025.
In light wind conditions, Suardiaz overcame strong competition from Kylie Belloeuvre (FRA), clinching the event win and reaffirming her dominance with a total of eight world titles at just 18 years old.
In the men’s division, Alessandro Tomasi (Italy) won the Abu Dhabi event after two decisive super-final victories, but it was Escofet’s consistent season that earned him the overall world championship title.
The event concluded an exciting GWA season marked by tight racing, emotional comebacks, and growing international competition.
