Gravel Gourmet, the event that combines cycling tourism and food and wine changes date and season: the new edition, with a more streamlined and accessible format even for the less experienced, will be held on Saturday, October 4 and Sunday, October 5, 2025.
Good food and cycling. The perfect combination promoted, for several years now, by the Parma Valleys, a land of culinary excellence and gravel trails all to be discovered. An ideal place to restore the soul, body and palate.
Gravel Gourmet, the event created in 2022 to tell the story of this wonderful combination (read our report), returns Saturday, October 4 and Sunday, October 5, 2025. A new placement in the calendar to discover the territory of the Unione Pedemontana Parmense – Collecchio, Felino, Sala Baganza and Traversetolo – at the gates of autumn, in a climatic and landscape context full of charm.
New date and new format
A choice, that of the new date, strongly shared by Unione Pedemontana Parmense with the organizers of the ASD Happy Trail MTB, who on this occasion wanted to rethink the format of the event, responding to the feedback collected in the first years of the Gravel Gourmet experience and opening up to an increasingly wide audience of practitioners.
Gravel Gourmet 2025 will in fact propose a more accessible trail option that will wink at less experienced or performance-oriented enthusiasts as well: this is why the Family route was created, which will be flanked by two other trails, all scheduled on Sunday, October 5 alone.
Unmissable along the routes, in addition to enchanting scenery and places, will be the famous Gravel Gourmet snacks, based on the delicacies of the world-famous Parma Valleys: Parma ham and salami from Felino, Parmigiano Reggiano, pasta, tomato, Malvasia and Lambrusco, and much more to reward the participants’ efforts on the foothills of the foothills.
On Saturday, in addition to the preliminary accreditation operations, it will be possible to discover the territory on pedals, or immerse oneself in culture or relaxation through the special packages offered by Gravel Gourmet, in view of Sunday’s celebration. As always, Gravel Gourmet will be an event to be experienced and enjoyed, without the anxiety of rankings, chronometers or tables to be met.
Gravel Gourmet registration is now open
Registration for the 2025 edition of Gravel Gourmet opened on Thursday, May 15, 2025 on the event website. The first phase of registration includes a discounted price window at a cost of 59 euros, which will increase from July 1, 2025 to a price of 79 euros.
Included in the price are a choice of two routes (in addition to the family route), gourmet snacks, mechanical support service, bike wash, gift bags and sponsor gadgets, photo service and transportation service for food purchases made along the route.
In addition, for those who would like to experience the ride with a companion, it will be possible to purchase dedicated packages, with the opportunity to visit the Food Museums of the Parma Valleys and taste the delicacies offered in the snacks. For the day on Saturday, it will be possible to take part in informal pedaling or purchase culture and relaxation packages to visit the Parma Valleys.
