The newly formed FLY WAVE offers two unmissable dates this fall: from October 25th to November 2nd in Jericoacoara, Brazil, and from December 5th to 10th in Dahab, Egypt; camps dedicated to wing foiling and the much-requested downwind. Here are the details of the two clinics.

DOWNWIND CAMP IN BRAZIL – JERICOACOARA (October 25 – November 2)

Join the journey. Ride the waves. Discover the glide.

Jericoacoara, Brazil, is a dream destination for many in the second half of the year, offering 100% guaranteed wind and a tropical climate with warm waters. This spot offers ideal conditions for all water sports, and the organization and logistics are perfect for spending your days practicing sports.

What do we offer?

Downwind Foil Camp – Intermediate and Expert Level

Downwind foiling is the fastest-growing trend right now. The feeling of riding the waves and letting the power of the sea carry you is incredible; there’s nothing more exhilarating and liberating. However, downwind foiling is more challenging than it seems and requires specific skills and knowledge, as well as proper logistics, to be enjoyable. Learning requires a gradual approach.

The training program includes a specific curriculum, which covers pumping skills, the ability to connect waves, and the ideal choice of equipment. During the camp, specific on-site training sessions will alternate with real 5-7 km downwind runs, supported by shuttle services to return to the starting point.

Based on the rider’s level, the ideal equipment (boards, kites, foils, parawings, paddles) will be selected to best support the learning process.

One thing is certain, downwind is a group discipline and you can combine different levels and sharing the experience is what will remain in your memories and what you will want to repeat again and again.

(If you would like to be accompanied by family or friends who are not yet familiar with water sports, we organize private or group lessons for beginners in both windsurfing and wingfoiling.)

How do we train?

The required level to participate in the camp is complete confidence in wingfoiling in medium to strong winds. Downwind sessions will be held in groups, but coaching will be provided individually based on the rider’s skill level and the setup chosen for the session (wing, parawing, or paddle).

Your coach, Matteo Guazzoni, has been passionate about foils for several years. He has experience as a team manager and marketing manager and currently develops foil products at RRD. A former European windsurfing champion, Matteo has actively participated in world wingfoil competitions and regularly practices downwind foiling on Lake Garda. His experience extends to SUP foiling, Foil Drive, and flatwater pumping.

DOWNWIND CAMP IN DAHAB (5-10 December)

Join the journey. Ride the waves. Discover the glide.

Dahab is located in the Sinai Peninsula, Egypt. With a relatively short flight and an 80-minute transfer to your hotel, you can enjoy magical conditions from the day you arrive. Dahab is truly special as it offers three different sailing areas: the “Lagoon,” a protected bay with a large area of stagnant water and shallow water, ideal for beginners; the “Speedy,” a perfectly flat area for experienced windsurfers; and the third area, the “Kamikadze,” with open water (without breaking waves). Dahab offers ideal conditions for all water sports, and the organization and logistics are perfect for spending your days practicing sports.
