The iQFOiL YOUTH AND JUNIOR EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS will be held in Arzachena, from 18 to 25 October 2025
The beautiful waters of Northern Sardinia are about to welcome the 2025 European Youth and Junior Championships, hosted by the Arzachena Nautical Club. Taking place from October 18th to 25th, the regatta will bring together 306 of the most talented young European sailors from 28 nations for the final high-stakes event of the season.
On the stunning Sardinian coast, the championship promises a challenging and exhilarating experience. At this time of year, the region offers steady yet unpredictable autumn breezes and Mediterranean waves that require tactical precision and physical endurance. Competitors must navigate shifting gusts and complex currents, in an environment where strategic thinking and adaptability will prove as crucial as boat speed.
This event represents the final opportunity of the season for Europe’s rising stars to showcase the results of months of training and competition. It’s a chance to consolidate their experience, hone their techniques, and make an indelible mark on the international scene. The pressure is high, the competition fierce, and the stakes couldn’t be higher.

The U19 women’s fleet features a stellar lineup, including the entire 2025 World Championships podium: reigning world champion Media Falcioni (ITA), runner-up Francesca Maria Salerno (ITA), and bronze medalist Nurhayat Güven (TUR). A tough battle is expected between these top athletes as they vie for the European crown.
In the men’s U19 category, 2025 World Championships silver medalist Artun Şenol (TUR) and bronze medalist Mattia Saoncella (ITA) will aim to turn their world championship success into a European triumph.
The U17 women’s category will see another high-profile clash, with Théa Le Borgne Zibetti (FRA), Naama Palatnik (ISR) and Parla Kabasakal (TUR), the entire podium of the World Championships, set to renew their rivalry in Sardinian waters.
The men’s U17 fleet will feature world champion Merlijn Boswijk (NED) and bronze medalist Finn Brüll (NED), both looking to defend their top spot. With silver medalist Peyton Dits moving up a category, the stage is set for new challengers to emerge.
As Europe’s best young sailors prepare to compete, the 2025 European Youth and Junior Championships are gearing up to offer a week of spectacular racing, showcasing skill, courage, and sportsmanship. More than a competition, this regatta embodies the spirit of youth sailing: passion, perseverance, and the pursuit of excellence. It promises to be a fitting conclusion to an inspiring season of international youth sailing.
